A snowmobile poker run is a time of fun and fellowship involving
scenic rides through some of New Hampshire's most beautiful trails.
Snowmobile clubs sponsor poker runs to raise money for charity or club
maintenance. Each club's poker runs may vary, but generally riders pay a small
amount to participate. (North Country clubs ask about $5).When they register,
riders are dealt a five-card hand and given directions. They make five stops,
one for each card, and may purchase as many hands as they would like. Great
food, door prizes and drawings accompany the event and provide a day of
entertainment for the whole family.

Members of the area's three northern fire departments - Colebrook, Beecher Falls
and Pittsburg and the Northernmost Explorers are planning this event.
Prizes awarded for best costume, most participants from a single fire
department, and more. Registration at Colebrook Fire Dept. from 8 to
11:30, and ride-in ends by 3 p.m. at the Beecher Falls Fire Station. Poker Run is

prior to rural electrification of the northernmost regions of N.H.
