The Poore Farm Museum is an historic homestead/settlement documenting one family's life from the 1830s to the 1980s.
The house, barns and outbuildings are all in original condition and reflect their use and era.
The feeling one gets when you enter the homestead is to step back in time, to a time that existed prior to
rural electrification of the northernmost regions of  NH.

 Colebrook, N.H., kicks off the event at 9 a.m., with the festival continuing in Canaan, Vt., and Pittsburg, N.H.,
on Saturday, and concluding in West Stewartstown and Columbia on Sunday. The festival includes country and street fairs,

Before the start, walk around and see the teams getting ready to go and talk to the crews and handlers.
 Watch the start, and then proceed to road crossings where the teams can be seen in the process of racing. 
 Then go to the finish line and see who wins! Included in the races will be a short race of 15 miles
 (7 dog-teams or less) and a longer race of 40 miles (open).  Registration is Friday evening; drivers’

Enjoy a round of golf at the beautiful Balsams 18-hole PANORAMA championship golf course, which sits beautifully
on the western side of Keazer Mountain. The holes flow naturally over the mountainside, and feature elements like
 deceptively wide fairways, small greens and sand bunkers to challenge golfers of all skill levels. This event is to
